Educational Philosophy
Our young people today are as bright and capable as any generation produced by this nation. As an educator it is my responsibility to provide each of them the opportunity to succeed in an atmosphere conducive to success.  Students should be rewarded for their performance and production, not just for "effort". Real self-esteem comes from knowing your successes were truly earned through hard work and sacrifice.
Purpose
This page is designed to provide pertinent course and classroom information to both the students enrolled in my mathematics classes and their parents

Information for Parents

My primary concern is to ensure that your student is provided the best opportunity possible to learn and therefore, succeed in my class. Every classroom policy and procedure and every action I take is directed in such a way as to make this possible.

Each student receives a detailed classroom policy and procedures memorandum. In addition, the day after every test each student receives a comprehensive "progress report" including category averages, overall average to date, and attendance. You may view a sample report. Grades will also be posted on Edline.

Students experiencing academic difficulties in my class are encouraged to take advantage of the extra assistance I offer on the following schedule. Mornings: 7:00 AM to first Bell

and
Afternoons: 3:15 PM to 4:15 PM (except every third week when I have afternoon duty.)
